The Sign in Sidney Brustein's Window
Group Minimum: 10
Oscar Isaac (Star Wars) makes his Broadway debut alongside Rachel Brosnahan (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) in Lorraine Hansberry's (A Raisin in the Sun) sweeping drama of identity, idealism, and love. Direct from its sold-out run at BAM, Anne Kauffman's production comes to Broadway for 80 performances only beginning April 25 at the James Earl Jones Theatre.
Hansberry invites us into Greenwich Village in the 60s, crafting a razor-sharp portrait of a diverse group of friends whose progressive dreams can't quite match reality. At the center are Sidney and Iris Brustein, fighting to see if their marriage - with all its crackling wit, passion, and petty cruelty - can survive Sidney's ideals.
"Lorraine Hansberry's play remains a powerful call to action. This imaginatively staged, passionately acted production does justice to her political vision." (Entertainment Weekly).
